Year of the Tiger Quadrant 2022 1oz Silver Proof Four-Coin Set:

The ancient lunar zodiac comprises 12 animal signs, each said to bestow desirable characteristics on those born under its influence. According to tradition, tiger people born in 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010 and 2022 will likely be blessed with courage, charm and confidence.

Guardian of the West:

One of the Four Symbols that each guard one quarter of the heavens, the White Tiger is the legendary Guardian of the West

According to traditional stories, it was destined to appear when the emperor ruled with unquestionable kindness and morality, or whenever there was peace throughout the world.

The Four Coin Quadrant:

Four Coins/pieces have been issued in this set:

This beautiful 2022 "Year of the Tiger Coin set" comprises four fan-shaped 1oz silver proof coins which align in the shape of an ancient Chinese "ban liang" coin to portray a unified coloured image celebrating the awesome big cat.

The four legal tender pieces in the set each show one quadrant of a coloured composition portraying tigers in a tropical rainforest:

 - The top coin depicts a tiger balanced on the limb of a dead tree.

 -  The right-hand coin depicts a roaring tiger prowling on a riverbank.

 - The bottom coin depicts a tiger lying majestically on rocks.

 - The left-hand coin depicts a tiger with a waterfall in the background.

Also, the reverse of each coin incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark at centre.

The Obverses of the four Quadrant $1 (One Dollar TVD) Coins depicts an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials "IRB" appear below the Queen's neck.

The inscriptions are - "2022. QUEEN ELIZABETH II. 1 OZ. 9999. Ag. TUVALU, 1 DOLLAR".
