The Royal Canadian Mint has issued the latest (and last) coin in the Coin Series titled "Fun and Festivities" - a "cut-your-own-tree". Bundling up against the cold, the entire family heads out into the country-side that shimmers after the first snowfall. Songs are sung and stories are told, while everyone looks for the future centre-piece of their holiday celebrations. Whether opting for a pre-cut or "cut-your-own" tree, the experience serves up a pine-scented dash of holiday spirit that carries into the New Year.

There are more than 1,800 Christmas tree farms in Canada. Christmas trees are a part of Canada's agricultural activities. These trees are intentionally grown and even exported abroad. Once the holidays are done, the trees can be chipped for muclh or allowed to break down with time.

The 3 Dollars Silver Coin:

The Reverse of the Silver 3 Dollars Coin depicts a fun holiday tradition in Canada. On a cold December day, a father has gone outdoors with his two kids to select and cut down their Christmas tree. The chosen tree is placed on the sleigh as the three make their way home, accompanied by their pet dog.

On the outer periphery are placed stylised icons that represent popular outdoor activities and sights in Canada - (clock-wise from top) Niagara Falls, a Christmas tree, a rodeo, wine tasting, dogsledding, folk music, cherry blossoms, maple syrup tasting, whale watching, tulips, coastal drives and the Aurora Borealis.

On the Obverse of the Silver 3 Dollars Coin is seen an effigy of Elizabeth II, the face value of the coin "3 DOLLARS" and the year of issue "2019".
