Ben-Gurion University of the Negev , which was founded 50 years ago, is the most rapidly developing Research University in Israel. 

With around 20,000 students and more than 4,000 Faculty members at its five campuses - in Beer Sheva, Sede Boqer, Marcus Family campus, David Tuviyahu campus and Eilat - the University is realising the vision of David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of the State of Israel, that the future of the country lay in the Negev Desert.

The University leads excellence in Research and Science that affects daily life.

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is committed to social and environmental involvement. More than one-third of its students participate in unique social action programmes that serve as an example for other institutions world-wide.

- Krietman Plaza - an oasis located at the heart of the campus, including a flowing man made stream that is shaded by plants indigenous to the Negev Desert and a unique stone arcade which creates a shaded space to sit.

- The Special Cancellation Handstamp - shows the logo of the 50th Anniversary. The Cancellation date is "04.02.2020".
