About Europa 2021 - Stamps:
EUROPA stamps are special stamps issued by European postal administrations.
They bear the official EUROPA logo, a PostEurop registered trademark under the aegis of PostEurop in which Europe is the central theme.
EUROPA stamp issues are among the most collected and most popular stamps in the world and have been issued for over 60 years.
Every year a new theme is assigned by PostEurop and all participating countries issue stamps with their own interpretation of the theme. The theme for 2021 is "Endangered National Wildlife".
About Europa 2021 - Endangered National Wildlife Stamps issued by Liechtenstein Post:
The two postage Stamps of 1.50 CHF each depicting a Weasel and Crayfish. Both stamps are marked "EUROPA" and exhibit the Europa logo.
The Weasel:
As the world's smallest predator, the weasel populates large parts of Europe and lives wherever there are field mice and shelters. It differs from its close relative, the ermine, by its small body mass and short tail, which lacks the black tip. The marten species is threatened by urban sprawl, traffic and the loss of land as it is now extensively used for agricultural purposes.
The Crayfish:
Characteristic of the noble crayfish are its claws, which are reddish in colour on the underside and at the joints. As a local resident, it prefers lowland streams and still waters and is predominantly nocturnal. Water pollution, accumulation of mud, but especially monotonous watercourse construction and improper fishing are major threat factors. However, the greatest threat to all native crayfish species is the crayfish plague.

The First Day Cover (FDC) shows an image of the Weasel & a Crayfish at left with an hourglass symbolising the time is running out for these two Endangered species.
At top right are affixed the two Postage Stamps of 1.50 CHF each, issued in the Set. The special Cancellation Handstamp has a Crayfish in its centre and the Cancellation is of Vaduz Post Office and is dated - "01.03.2021".
