SUN GOD of the INCAS:

The Gold Sun Disc was one of the most sacred and valuable artifacts of the INCA.

Legend states that it came from the sky and was recovered from Lake Titicaca. It was three feet wide, made of rare translucent gold and was said to have magical powers. The INCA believed it could heal any injury, stop time, and prevent or even start earthquakes.

The INCA placed it inside their Temple of the Sun, in the Peruvian city of Cusco and used it to receive information directly from the Sun God, Tiki Viracocha, the Universal Mind at the center of the galaxy.

In 1532 the Spanish Conquistadors (raiders?) landed in Peru and destroyed the temple (as they did not believe in respecting or finding out about other cultures, because they thought that theirs was the "most civilised culture").

The INCA realized that the Spaniard raiders were only after their gold. The golden disc went missing. The most popular theory of historians is that it was saved by the INCA people and taken to another INCA City. That city, Gran Paititi, is also coincidently missing today. It is believed that Gran Paititi was established high up in the Andes at an elevation of 14,000 feet, at the highest levels of INCA Civilization.

Another possibility is that, it was taken to Lake Titicaca where it remained hidden beneath the waters, in a subterranean temple.

A third possibility is that this artifact was melted and shipped to Spain, as they were "uncultured" people and were only interested in the precious metal of the INCAS.

The Coin:

CIT has used its enhanced Smartminting® technology to create a stunning 1 oz gilded silver version of the sun disc.

On the Reverse of the $5 gilded Silver Coin is depicted the Sun God Disc. The Silk Finish gives it an ancient look with a ultra high relief domed face.

The irregular design is faithfully captured on this piece. The year of Coin issue "2021" is at the bottom periphery.

On the Obverse of the $5 gilded Silver Coin is depicted the Coat of Arms , which is set into the inverted dome that helps give this piece its stunning relief.

"Very interesting information. Any idea, how many centuries back INCA people might have made the original Gold Sun Disc."

    1. I could not find s date anywhere, Vinodji. Perhaps, the Spaniards obliterated all Inca records. Still searching. As soon as I find the period of its discovery, I will update this post.
