On 07.12.2018, the State Committee of Information Technology and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic is releasing into circulation a series of Kyrgyz Express Post postage stamps titled the "Red Book of Kyrgyzstan".
The First Day Cover (FDC) issued on the occasion of release of the stamp set - the Marbled Polecat (50 KGS), Pallas's Cat (75 KGS), Turkestan Cat (100 KGS) and Himalayan Brown Bear (150 KGS)
It is titled , at left - "Kyrgyz Republic Red Data Book". On the bottom periphery is mentioned "Kyrgyz Express Post - Official First Day Cover". The cover depicts an Asiatic Red Deer or "Maral" ("Cervus elaphus asiaticus"). This splendid animal, listed in the Kyrgyz Republic Red Data Book populates mountain regions at altitudes of 2,000 - 2,900 metres above sea-level.
The stamps are affixed to a specially designed envelope and are cancelled with a special pictorial First Day Cancellation titled "KYRGYZ EXPRESS POST, BISHKEK". The Cancellation is dated "07.12.2018".

Marbled Polecat (Vormela peregusna) is a small mammal belonging to the monotypic genus Vormela within the Mustelinae sub-family. This nocturnal animal hunts birds, ground squirrels, jerboas and other small animals.
