MINISET on NAPOLEON I:

In 2021, Monnaie de Paris is commemorating the Bicentenary of the Passing Away of Napoleon I. 

This year will truly be "The Napoleon Year" celebrated in France and internationally. The milestone is being celebrated from several angles to the legacy of this period of French history and also through different types of products by Monnaie de Paris.

The Coin Set:

This Mini-Set has been brought out by the Monnaie de Paris (The Paris Mint in coordination with the Napoleon Foundation:

On the Reverse is depicted the portrait of Napoleon as Emperor by Anne-Louis Girodet de Roussy-Triosson, with his laurier crown and at his neck, the Legion d'Honneur.

The pictogram created especially by the Mint of Paris on the occasion of the bicentenary of Napoleon's death is also present.

On the Obverse, are represented an emblematic symbol of Napoleon: the Bee, symbol of immortality and resurrection. This was the Emblem of the new dynasty which had its origins in France.

Also shown are the specifications of the 8 coins - 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 & 50 Cents and 1 &2 Euros, as well as, the logos of Monnaie de Paris and the Napoleon Foundation.
