It was quite disheartening to read/view a news item that Farmers and Agricultural Workers in the Republic of France are on strike protesting against the incidence of farmer suicides on account of failed crops and government apathy to their plight.

On the other hand, La Poste, France has issued the following stamp, with a view to highlighting the contribution of French farmers to the National Agricultural produce:
