My Stamp Album - The Adventures of Tori & Co.:

This MyStamp Series from Portugal Post features the adventures of Tori, who is a time traveller and Stamp Collector, who goes on hilarious adventures with his wonderful travelling companion - Pisco.

Tori received a Christmas present "Ovotão" (the first machine that allows special children - stamp collectors - to travel through space and time ....).

Since 2017, from the two central figures - Tori and Pisco all adventures  portrayed on Portuguese stamps unfold.

The two characters are time travellers, in a flying machine that works on seals.

Each issue represents a theme and an adventure with chronologies, subjects, curiosities and images that are being built in the course of a book.

The triple characters of Tori, Pisco and Ovotão, aim to be a form of projective identification of younger readers, graphically worked to be current, enigmatic and adventurous.

The 2017 Stamp issue:

The Cover of the Stamp Album brought out by Portuguese Post in 2017 is titled - "My Stamp Album - A collector's journey"

a) This is an image of Ovotão the first machine that allows special creatures - stamp collectors - to travel in space and time.

At lower right is Tori, the traveller stamps collector.

b) The second image shows Tori in his spaceship.

c) On his first mission in 2017, Tori carries with him in his spacecraft - a cotton plant, cocoons, silkworm, Flak Flower, sheared sheep, lamb's wool and carbon molecules.

d) On his first stop during time travel, Tori meets a Templar Knight in the Portalegre district of Alentejo, where the Castle of Marvao islocated with a surrounding wall that houses the whole village inside.

Marvao was conquered from the Moors by Afonso Henriques, the first king, whose nickname was -"The Conqueror".

e) In 1968, the Rally de Portugal Race's second edition was held, in which the greatest number of teams participated, with 190 competitors.

For Five consecutive years from 1976 to 1980, and then again in 1982, when the "Rally de Portugal" received the title of "Best Rally in the World" awarded by the BPICA (Bureau Permanent International of Constructeurs d'Automobiles).

f) Tori in his time machine, plans his next adventure.

g) Tori finds out during his first adventure that Fruit also helps build the image of a region. In Portugal, there are cherries from Fundao, oranges from Silves, figs from the Algarve, melons from Almeirim, apples from Alcobaca, peaches from Colares, strawberries from Ribatejo, chestnuts from Marvao, pine nuts from Alcacer do Sal, bananas from Madiera or the pineapples from the Azores.

h) Fruits can be very important for the economy of a region/place. For example, in the 17th Century, figs were the largest source of wealth in the Algarve and many of the typical sweets from that region are made from them.

Travelling through the country to discover the most delicious fruit in each region has helped Tori gain a wonderful insight into popular fruits of everyrwgion in Portugal.

i) This Map shows the main fruits produced in every region of Portugal.
