1768) "PuyDu Fou Theme Park," Spain:  Postage Stamps brought out by Correos Espana (Spanish Post) dedicated to the popular Theme Park in the country: Date of Stamps issue: 26.03.2021:

Theme parks are places where people have exciting experiences that leave memories for a lifetime. These leisure and entertainment spaces continue to be the favorite destination and also the perfect excuse to visit different countries.

In Spain there are more than 15 of these parks spread throughout the country.

Correos Espana (Spanish Post) has promoted the country's Theme Parks  through its Philatelic Series titled - "Ocio y Aficiones," which highlights these fun spaces.

This Stamp issue is dedicated to Puydu Fou Spain.

About "Puydu Fou", Spain:

Born in France, Puy du Fou is a new kind of theme park featuring spectacular history extravaganza shows. It is the recipient of numerous awards in both Europe and the USA.

 In 2019 a show inspired by the park opened in the Spanish city of Toledo offering a fascinating journey through the history of Spain.

El Sueño de Toledo became its first opening night show dedicated to the city where it is located. The programme was met a resounding success with the public and critics, exceeding the expectations of the creators themselves.

Following the success of the last two seasons, it re-opened again for visitors on 27.03.2021, converted into a huge live show park of more than 30 hectares, offering diverse entertainment proposals.

During the day, one is able to enjoy four major shows (three indoor and one outdoor), inspired by historical events and Spanish legends:

- "A pluma y espada", set in Toledo in 1592, in the midst of the Golden Age, with the writer, Lope de Vega, as one of its main characters;

-  "El último cantar," which tells the tales of Rodrígo Díaz de Vivar, El Cid Campeador (a legendary hero of Spanish history), in 11th century Castile;

- "Cetrería de Reyes", set in 939 in Marca Media, with Abderraman III and Count Fernán González of Castile vying for a truce with hundreds of birds of prey; and

- "Allende la mar oceána," where the audience is submerged as a  crew member of Santa María in search of a new route to the Indies, in 1492.

Four themed villages can be visited to become more immersed in History:

 The Royal Village, The Andalusian Askar, La Venta de Isidro and El Arrabel, a medieval market at the base of the great wall.

In the four historic villages, there are more than 20 catering points as well as craft workshops and boutiques with handmade and local products.

At sunset, one returns to The Toledo Dream, the outdoor evening show that takes spectators through more than 1,500 years of History on a historic dramatised journey, with 200 actors and incredible special effects, ranging from the reign of King Recaredo I in the 6th century to the arrival of the railway, as well as the Navas de Tolosa battle or the discovery of America.

The shows have simultaneous translation in English and French via a smartphone thanks to the park’s free app. The entire venue offers free Wi-Fi.
