The new Crypto Stamp is META:

The Crypt Stamp issue 4.0 by Österreichische Post AG (Austrian Post)

The Crypto stamp has always transcended borders - as a physical stamp with a digital twin.

That is why, for the launch of Crypto stamp 4.0, the Austrian Post has turned to a place that blurs any boundaries.

A place already populated by crypto experts and NFT trendsetters - and soon by the beloved crypto animals.

A place where the virtual friendship of the Dutch and Austrian Post opens the next chapter of the crypto stamp

In 2022 the Crypto stamp is coming to the Metaverse or more precisely to Decentraland.

With immediate effect, there is a virtual Post base in Decentraland: Crypto stamp HQ

Metaverse “Decentraland”:

Decentraland is one of the largest and best known “Metaverses”. Virtual worlds for artists and communities to exchange ideas and NFTs, unleash their creativity and have fun together.

It's worth a visit as Crypto stamp HQ already has quite a few surprises and activities in store for the Crypto stamp community.

Exclusive reveal of the new animal at Crypto stamp HQ. The exact date and time can be found immediately in the HQ in Decentraland.

There are two different difficulty levels so that everyone can play! one can win physical Crypto stamps 4.0 as well as virtual items for one's own Decentraland avatar

Features of Crypto stamp 4.0:

The Crypto stamp is a physical postage stamp that has a “digital twin” in the blockchain.

NFC & Packaging:

Hold the Crypto stamp up to one's smartphone: The NFC chip on the stamp can be read with any NFC-enabled smartphone. By scanning the NFC chip, one can check that the Crypto stamp has not been activated yet.

The packaging of the Crypto stamp offers a high level of security protection. It is perforated on the sides and has adhesive dots. To remove the Crypto stamp from the packaging, one can tear off the two side panels.

Augmented Reality:

For the first time ever, Crypto stamp 4.0 has an augmented reality feature.

AR is a kind of computer-assisted extension of reality and can be used in various ways.

Many people are familiar with computer-generated information being added to audio-visual content.

For example, there are apps that can identify mountains when one looks at them through the camera on one's smartphone. The name is shown directly on the display.

There are several ways in which Crypto stamp 4.0 will expand one's reality.

The new Crypto stamp has been released as first Crypto stamp joint issue in two countries – Austria and the Netherlands:

New technology is Augmented Reality, new motif the bull.

With Crypto stamp 4.0, the Austrian Post is once again issuing a unique collector's item of value – and for the first time in cooperation with the Netherlands Post

Issued at the same time as the Austrian edition of Crypto stamp 4.0, the Dutch version NL Crypto Stamp is also available.

Both versions have the bull as their motif, an important symbol of the financial world synonymous with share price increases.

Only the background distinguishes the two editions of Crypto stamp 4.0. It features flowers typical for each country - the Edelweiss on the Austrian, the Tulip on the Netherlands edition.

In order to transfer the digital crypto stamp on the Blockchain, a transaction must be carried out on the Blockchain, for which transaction fees apply.

The previous issues by Austrian Post:

2019 until present day:

Analogue meets digital:

Österreichische Post AG issued the world's first blockchain stamp on 11.06.2019. For the first time, a seemingly traditional product - the postage stamp - managed to harness the highly complex technology of the blockchain.

Crypto stamp 1.0:

One motif - five digital twins. This is how the first blockchain stamp entered the world two years ago. With an edition of 150,000, it not only sold out within a very short time, but also caused a worldwide sensation.

Crypto stamp 2.0:

Honey badger, llama, doge and panda expand the motifs of the Crypto stamp family. The Crypto stamp 2.0 is also sold out within a very short time - and that with a print run of 240,000!

The Golden Unicorn:

The theme of this exclusive edition was the hunt for the golden unicorn. Limited to 999 pieces, the Special Edition of the Crypto stamp 2.0 has made history: The stamp adorns a 1-gram gold bar and features a nomi-nal value of 500 euros. That is a world record! In addition, a very special specimen was raffled off: A unique 20-gram gold bar from the Austrian Mint.

Crypto Stamp 3.0:

Limited to 100,000 pieces, the third edition of the Crypto stamp has brought numerous innovations: Not only the Crypto Whale, but also an NFC-supported authenticity check.

Crypto Stamp 3.1:

The beastly journey continued – and took collectors to Africa. That’s where the Rhino and Cat, depicted on the Crypto stamps 3.1 come from. The element that links both motifs is the diamond, the symbol for Ethereum.

The Golden Doge:

With a 1 gram of gold bullion, a nominal value of 500 euros, and a limited run of 999 stamps, this special edition was also a huge hit. 99 stamps could be won by means of a Crypto Quiz. A unique stamp with 20 grams of gold bullion went to the winner of a contest asking for ideas on the future of the Crypto stamp.

The Golden Whale:

The special edition of the Crypto stamp 3.0 also came in a strictly limited issue and with a small gold bar for its buyers. Their enthusiasm was a real touchstone for the online shop.
