3320) Dragonflies Flit Across Coin Design: The Dragonfly and the Bloom (Water Lily): The Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) has issued a Silver $50 (Fifty Dollars - CAN) Coin: Date/Year of Coin issue: 27.08.2024:

The Royal Canadian Mint has released a limited mintage new coin featuring a dragonfly flying around a water lily.

This 2024 new release from the Royal Canadian Mint features a a 3-D dragonfly and lily. Not only is the lily coming out of the coin, but the dragonfly can move around the flower with the tilt of the coin.

A summer day beside the water, watching the dragonflies flit about, zigzagging through the air, is a serene scene many are familiar with.

There is something magical about seeing dragonflies hovering and darting through the air on a summer day—and that’s exactly what the dragonfly is doing on this 2024 movement coin.

The silver coin is large, with a diameter of 65.25 mm, but its size immerses the viewer in the scene.

A crystal is embedded in the center of the bloom, shining like a droplet of water.

The dragonfly and lily are sterling silver with gold plating as if the golden sun is reflecting off them on a bright summer day.

The coin's mirror-like surface, which reflects the dragonfly flying above it, adds to its charm.

The mintage is limited, only 1,250 coins. The 50-dollar coin comes in a package with a wooden base and a clear dome cover, allowing the viewer to display and interact with the coin.

The Silver Coin:

Once the Coin is tilted one can watch as the dragonfly moves around the bloom, which is fully okpen to reveal the water-like sparkle of a clear crystal—another feature that speaks to the enchantment of a light-filled summer day.

The peripheral inscriptions are - "CANADA" and "2024".
