Melita Gold Bullion Coins:

The Melita Gold Bullion Coins (named after Malta's ancient name) are a series of bullion coins issued by the Central Bank of Malta in collaboration with Lombard Bank, since end - 11/2018.

The Coins are minted by PAMP S.A. in Switzerland. Their composition makes them some of the purest Gold Bullion Coins available in the world.

These Gold Coins are issued in three different denominations - 25 Euros, 50 Euros and 100 Euros. These Bullion Coins are legal tender in Malta.

Each denomination has different dimensions and weight.

The coins depict the National personification "Melita" and their design is based on Edward Caruana Dingli's Melita issue of postage and revenue stamps of 1922-1926. The stamps were designed to commemorate Malta's new status as a self-governing colony following a new Constitution in 1921.

These Coins are meant both for investors and coin collectors and are sold according to the international gold price.

These coins are issued in sealed Coin Cards and each coin has a unique profile which allows it to be authenticated using PAMP SA's security system.

The initial strikes of 2018 were limited and later coins were minted according to demand - as such the number of strikes varies every year.

The Melita Gold Bullion Coins:

On the Reverse of the Melita Gold Bullion Coins is depicted Melita as a robed helmeted figure holding a rudder - symbolising Malta in control of her own destiny.

On the Obverse of the Melita Gold Bullion Coins is depicted the Emblem/ Coat of Arms of Malta.
