The Group of Twenty (G20) comprises 19 countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Türkiye, United Kingdom, United States of America), and the European Union. 

The G20 members represent around 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of the global trade, and about two-thirds of the world population.

The G20 is the premier forum for international economic cooperation that plays an important role in shaping & strengthening global governance and in working towards sustainable and balanced global growth.

India took over the Presidency of the G20 on 01.12.2022 and will hold it for a period of one-year upto 30.11.2023.

India's G20 Logo: 

India’s G20 Logo draws inspiration from the vibrant colours of the National Flag and juxtaposes planet Earth with the Lotus, India’s National Flower, reflecting growth amidst challenges. 

The Earth in the Logo reflects India’s pro-planet approach to life, one in perfect harmony with nature. 

The theme of India’s G20 Presidency - ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (or ‘One Earth · One Family · One Future’), drawn from the ancient Sanskrit text of the Maha Upanishads, affirms the value of all life – human, animal, plant, and microorganisms and their interconnectedness in the wider universe. 

The theme also spotlights LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), with its associated, environmentally sustainable and responsible choices, leading to globally transformative actions resulting in a cleaner, greener future.

Drawing inspiration from India's G20 theme and Logo, the two Coins of Rs.100/- and Rs.75/- commemorate and celebrate the historic period of India's G20 Presidencyand the landmark occasion of G20 Leader's Summit, New Delhi.

The Coin Set:

The Coin Set of Rs.100/- and Rs.75 Quaternary Silver (50% Silver + 3 other metals) Coins is placed in an elegant box/Cover/Presentation Case and comes with an Information Booklet (IB).

Placed above and below the coins are the flags of the participating nations.

The Obverse of the two Coin Quaternary Silver set of Rs.100/- and Rs.75/- depicts the G20 logo.

India’s G20 Presidency has come at a time when the world is facing multiple challenges. 

Amidst these challenges, India’s G20 presidency provides a ray of hope and a platform for meaningful discussions for achieving durable solutions to contemporary global challenges.
