From 01 to 05/2020, Posti (Finland Post) will be issuing nine stamp publications, with a total of 25 different stamp designs. The stamps are being released in three batches on 22.01.2020, 12.03.2020 and 06.05.2020.

The themes for January 2020 are friendship, the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare and the protection of the Baltic Sea.

Beginning with Valentine Day Stamps titled "The Colours of Friendship", and celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, which included a set of two different domestic no-value indicator stamp designs, the third issue, the theme for the third issue is Moomin Stamps, which focus on the protection of the Baltic Sea.

The stamps are part of the OURSEA campaign which is being launched in 2020. The campaign features Moomin Characters in co-operation with John Nurminen Foundation, which has been internationally successful in marine protection, which works with a mission to save the Baltic Sea and its heritage for future generations.

The Sea plays an important role in the Moomin stories created by Tove Jansson, which are celebrating their 75th Anniversary next year.

The OURSEA stamp booklet designed by James Zambra contains six different domestic no-value indicator stamp designs. The OURSEA stamps feature various Moomin characters interacting with the sea. For Moomins, the sea stands for freedom and adventure, but it is also an element which inspires respect and can sometimes even be dangerous.

The Baltic Sea inspired Tove Jansson to create the Moomin stories. Presently, the Baltic Sea is one of the most polluted seas in the world and its environmental issue has been engaging world-wide attention.

The aim of the OURSEA campaign is to raise awareness of the condition of the Baltic Sea and mobilise funds for John  Nurminen Foundation's work to protect the sea and its vibrant culture.
