1537) "Frakk, The Terror of Cats," Hungary: The Second Set of stamps issued in the "Cartoon and Fairy Tales Characters Stamp Series" by Magyar Posta (Hungarian Post): Date of Stamp issue: 04.11.2020:

Following Susu the Dragon in the Cartoon and Fairy Tales Characters Stamp Series" which commenced in 09/2019, this year Magyar Posta has issued a Souvenir Sheet (SS) featuring the characters of the animated Television Series -"Frakk, The Terror  of Cats".

This Hungarian paper cut-out animated Television Series of which 52 episodes in 4 seasons were made, was produced at the Pannonia Film Studios between 1971 and 1985.

It was written by Agnes Balint, the figures were designed by Gyorgy Varnai, the Series was directed by Andras Cseh and Pal Nagy. The music was composed by Zsolt Petho. Among those who provided the voices were actors of great popularity like Gyula Szabo, Eva Schubert, Hedi Varadi, Janos Rajz and Erzsi Partos.

At the centre of the adventures is Frakk, an always hungry, playful Hungarian Vizsla, who thinks his main job is to teach the somewhat spoilt and cheeky cats - Lukrecia and Szerenke how to behave. His owner, Uncle Karoly, fully supports him in this, while his wife - Auntie Irma - tends to favour the cats.

The main characters are depicted  on the three stamps of the special Souvenir Sheet (SS) on the middle stamp is the leading character - Frakk - with his owners on the stamp at his left, while the cats figure on the stamp to his right.

On the First Day Cover (FDC), an action packed scene from the animated film is shown.

The Special Cancellation Postmark/Handstamp features a picture frame which played an important part in one of the episodes. The title of the animated film series appears in the frame. The date of Cancellation is - "04.11.2020".
