3248) Aerial Cableway Schilthorn, Switzerland: Third and last Coin in the Series: Date of Coin issue: 22.04.2024:

The new silver coin "Aerial Cableway Schilthorn" is the last coin in the trilogy on the theme of “Swiss aerial cableways”.

The Schilthorn Aerial Cableway:

The Schilthornbahn 20XX project foresees a classic aerial tramway between Stechelberg and Mürren.

Once completed, the new cable car will be the steepest aerial cableway in the world.

In addition, the connection up to the Schilthorn will be the world's first funifor aerial cableway. The Funifor system boasts high wind stability and enables compact station construction. With the new Schilthorn aerial cableway special coin, we want to keep the memory of the old aerial cableway alive.

The Coin:

The 20g special coin "Aerial Cableway Schilthorn" is made of silver 999.

On the Obverse of the 20 CHF Silver Coin, the old gondola lift and revolving restaurant are shown after the latest transformation in 2017.

On the Reverse of the 20 CHF Silver Coin the Schilthorn is visible. James Bond films were shot in the Swiss mountains and are a collector’s delight.
