976) ICC Cricket World Cup, England & Wales 2019: An Aluminium-Bronze Uncirculated $1 Coin issued by the Royal Australian Mint (RAM) in 03/2019:

976) ICC Cricket World Cup, England & Wales  (30.05.2019-17.07.2019) : An Aluminium-Bronze Uncirculated $1 Coin issued by the Royal Australian Mint (RAM) in 03/2019:

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, presently in the 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup is scheduled to be hosted by England and Wales from 30.05.2019 to 14.07.2019.

The 11th edition - 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup was held in Australia and New Zealand.

The Miniature Sheet of Stamps (MS) issued for India Post/Indian Cricket enthusiasts/Philatelists

To commemorate this thrilling Sporting event, New Zealand Post had issued official World Cup memorabilia consisting of a unique dome-shaped commemorative coin, a sheet of cricket-ball shaped self-adhesive stamps of 80 cents each, and a set of First Day Covers (FDCs) that represented the fourteen contesting teams.

The theme of this issue was "Have a Ball at the ICC Crocket World Cup 2015".

India-post in co-ordination with New Zealand Post, had managed to procure and make these Miniature Sheets (MS) of Stamps available for Indian cricket/Philately enthusiasts - but with a slight difference:
The Miniature Sheet (MS) issued by New Zealand Post showing the original design of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 logo in the centre

As opposed to the Miniature Sheet of Stamps which was being sold in New Zealand and Australia, which showed the official ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 logo in the top centre, the stamps made available for India Post by New Zealand Post depicted the ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy in the top centre which was won by India in 1983 and they were the current holders of the Trophy, having won it in 2011.

I have the colourful Miniature Sheet (MS) of stamps issued for India Post in my Philatelic collection, which consists of fourteen cricket ball shaped self-adhesive stamps - one for each team which competed in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, West Indies and Zimbabwe.

Each stamp featured the team colours and imagery, as well as the official ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 logo.

The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup:

The format:

The format is a single group of ten teams (a decrease from the previous World Cups in 2011 and 2015, which featured 14 teams), with each team playing the other nine teams and the top four teams progressing to a knock-out stage of semi-finals and a final. Thus a total of 45 matches will be played in a round-robin format, with each team playing 9 matches each. The top four teams will progress to the knock-out stage.

As present, there are 12 Test playing nations, with the admission of Ireland and Afghanistan in June 2017, it will be the first World Cup to be contested without all of the Test playing nations being present. Also, after the elimination of all the Associate teams at the qualifying tournament, this will be the first World Cup to feature no Associate Members.

The venues for the tournament will be -

Birmingham (ground: Edgbaston), Bristol (Bristol County Ground), Cardiff (Sophia Gardens), Chester-le Street (Riverside Ground), Leeds (Headingley), Nottingham, London (Lords and the Oval, Manchester (Old Trafford), Nottingham (Trent Bridge), Southampton (Rose Bowl),  Taunton (County Ground).

Playing squads:

All participating teams have to submit the names of their World Cup squads by 30.04.2019,with an option to change players in this list of 15 any-time up to seven days prior to the tournament.

Warm-up matches:

10 non-ODI warm-up matches will be played from 24-28.05.2019.
