About Planet Budapest 2021- "Sustainability Expo And Summit":
"Sustainability Expo and Summit" is a joint event of the Visegrád countries (the "Visegrád Group", "Visegrád Four", "V4", or "European Quartet", is a cultural and political alliance of four countries of Central Europe - Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, all of which are members of the EU and of NATO, to advance co-operation in military, cultural, economic and energy matters with one another and to further their integration to the EU.
The Group traces its origins to the summit meetings of leaders from Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland held in the Hungarian castle town of Visegrád on 15 February 1991).
Planet Budapest deals primarily with sustainable development.
Its aim is to draw the attention of the public, and in particular young people, to the adverse environmental, social and economic processes and to show that these negative changes can still be reversed.
The event to be held between 29.11.2021 and 05.12.2021 will present many exhibitors from the Visegrád countries who can promote sustainable development through their technological developments, and innovative products and services.
Planet Budapest 2021 is based on four thematic groups, which are:
i) the Universe of Sustainability – Summit,
ii) Nature Friendly Development – Sustainability Expo,
iii) Your Planet – Interactive Public Programmes about Sustainability, and
iv) Heroes of the Future – Youth Programme.
The Stamp:
The 500 Forint Stamp of the Miniature Sheet (MS) features one of Budapest’s best known public edifices, the seat of the Hungarian National Assembly and some of its institutions, which is Europe’s second and the world’s third largest parliament building.
The graphics of the Miniature Sheet (MS), the First Day Cover (FDC) and the postmark reflect elements of the event’s image.
The First Day Cover (FDC) is titled "PLANET BUDAPEST 2021" at left.
The Miniature Sheet (MS) is affixed at top right, cancelled with a special postmark dated - "08.11.2021"
