In recent years, Street Art has become quite popular in Greenland. Some of the most notable works of art made in the public space in Greenland are now the subject of a stamp series.
This series presents two stamps that reproduce street art from Greenland's West Coast and East Coast.
i) "3905" (which is the postal code for Nuussuaq - a suburb of Nuuk):
The Artwork, which embraces the yellow end wall in Nuussuaq, is the first brick wall in Greenland to unite the lines of several artists on a large scale.
The wall is part of an art project curated by the graffiti artist Sacha Malinský, who goes by the artist name "Cheeky".
The work was commissioned by the Nuuk Local Committee as part of a major urban embellishment project in Nuuk in 2020.This artwork was completed by Cheeky and the artists who participated in her Masterclass in the summer of 2020 - Malik Chemnitz, Maria Kreutzmann, Christian Fleischer Rex and Inuk Højgaard.

ii) "Tasiilami Alivarpi" (meaning - "The School in Tasiilaq" in East Greenlandic):
During two weeks in late summer 2018, the Youth Culture House in Tasiilaq had a focus on Street Art.
In collaboration with the graffiti artist Mathias Stenbakken and workshop organiser Camilla Flebo, local students decorated the school façade in Tasiilaq with graffiti art.
The event was aimed at creating holiday activities for children, young people and families, as well as, generating interest in graffiti as an art form.
The Artists wanted to show graffiti as art, in the hope that it might inspire others in the future also to decorate some other parts of the village.
Apart from introducing graffiti as an art form the objective was to create an activity that would interest young people, in which they could enthusiastically participate.
House in Tasiilaq - The Graffiti Workshop started with a family party in the local hall, where the attendees watched a film about graffiti and enjoyed drawing activities. The children created designs, drawing inspiration from the animals living in Greenland.
The Graffiti Workshop was aimed at establishing a creative activity and a forum for the children and young people of the village, equipping them with some artistic tools to enable them to express themselves emotionally and perhaps one day instigate similar initiatives themselves.
