2267) "Russian Invasion of Ukraine - 2022", Latvia: Latvijas Pastas (Latvian Post) has issued a Stamp Block and a Special Postal Cover in support of Ukraine's War effort: Date of Stamp Block issue: 10.03.2022:

About 2022 Russian Invasion of Ukraine:

The Stamp Block

On 10.03.2022, Latvijas Pasts (Latvian Post) has issued a Stamp Block and a Special Postal Cover in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, in support of Ukraine.

50% of the proceeds from the sales of the block will be channelled to the charity fund Ziedot.lv programme in support of Ukraine. 

The stamp block consists of three stamps and a special explanatory coupon. The block features -

a) the National Flags of Ukraine and Latvia,

b) Ukraine's Independence Monument in Kiev and

c) Latvia’s Freedom Monument in Riga as well as inscriptions in Ukrainian and Latvian saying "We Are with You! and Glory to Ukraine!"

The Latvian War of Independence (Latvian: "Latvijas Neatkarības karš"), sometimes called "Latvia's freedom battles" ("Latvijas brīvības cīņas") or the "Latvian War of Liberation" ("Latvijas atbrīvošanas karš"), was a series of military conflicts in Latvia between 05.12.1918, after the newly proclaimed Republic of Latvia was invaded by Soviet Russia, and the signing of the Latvian-Soviet Riga Peace Treaty on 11.08.1920, resulting in a victory for Latviaand Latvian Independence .
