2038) Proclamation of Independence of Republic of Moldova: 30th Anniversary Celebration: A 50 Lei Silver Three-Coin Set representing "Past, Present and Future" of Moldova: Date of Coin set issue: 26.08.2021:

The National Bank of Moldova (BNM) has put into circulation, starting from 26.08.2021, as payment means or for numismatic purposes, a set of commemorative coins dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the proclamation of Moldova’s Independence which will complete the Coin Series titled - "Historical Events".  

These three 50 Lei Silver Coins represent the significance of a historical period of 30 years - Past, Present and Future (2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively) representing the Proclamation of Independence of Moldova and the great strides which it has taken since then. 

Each coin contains famous titles of poems which became hits.

The Three Coins:

First Coin:

Past (2020):

"30 years since the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Moldova" with the generic: "INIMEA MEA E MOLDOVA" ("My Heart is Moldova"), 

Present (2021):

"31 years since the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Moldova" with the generic: "CAT TRAIM PE ACEST PAMANT" ("As Long as we live on this Earth").

Future (2022):

"32 years since the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Moldova" with the generic: "O LIBERTATE  Sfântă LIBERTATE" (“Freedom, Holy Freedom")

The Set:

Past (2020):

On the Reverse of the 50 Lei Silver Coin is a stylised heart in the colours of the Moldovian Flag.

On the top and lower periphery are the inscriptions - "30 DE ANI DE INDEPENDENTA, INIMA MEA E MOLDOVA" (meaning" 30the Anniversary of the Proclamation of Freedom of Moldova - "My Heart is Moldova").

Present (2021)

On the Reverse of the 50 Lei Silver Coin are hearts drawn by children, colours of the Moldovan Flag behind the inscription - "CAT TRAIM PE ACEST PAMANT, TOTUL VA FI BINE 2021" ("As Long As We Live On This Earth").

Future (2022):

On the Reverse of the 50 Lei Silver Coin, in the foreground - are the stylized image of three hands in the colours of the tricolour on the background of a lot of hands.

On the top is the inscription " O LIBERTATE SFÂNTĂ LIBERTATE " is engraved in capital letters and at the bottom - the year "1991" is engraved.

On the Obverse of each of the three 50 Lei Silver Coins, in the foreground is seen the State "Coat of Arms of the Republic of Moldova".

On the top - the year of issue "2021", while at the bottom is the inscription "50 LEI".

In exergue is inscribed the inscription " REPUBLICA MOLDOVA” (engraved in capital letters).
