On March 10, 2025 the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic puts into circulation a series of 2024 Kyrgyz Express Post postage stamps: "Pearls of Kyrgyz Nature. Sary-Chelek Lake". 

Sary-Chelek Lake is situated at Jalal-Abad Region (at 1,873 m asl), Western Part of Kyrgyzstan at the territory of Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve. 

Sary-Chelek (“Yellow Bucket” from Kyrgyz) is the main lake and one of the seven lakes in the area of Chatkal Mountain Ranges. 

Lake width from 350 m to 1500 m, the deepest point is 234 m.  The area is protected thus here are the rich species of plants and animals. Sary-Chelek honey is very popular and one of the best honey in Kyrgyzstan. 

It is north of Arkyt (the park headquarters) at the eastern end of the Chatkal Range. There are a number of smaller lakes in the area. The lake is 7.5 km (4.7 mi) long and its average width is 650 m (2,130 ft). Its area is 4.92 km2 (1.90 sq mi) and its maximum depth is 234 m (768 ft). It is drained by the river Toskool, a tributary of the Kojata.

The Description reads:

Lake Sary-Chelek stanps as one of Krygyzstan's largest and most picturesque Lake. It is located 500 kilometres from Bishkek within the Sary-Chelek State Biosphere Reserve. Positioned at an elevation of 1,878 metres above sea-level the Lake stretches 7.5 kilometres in length and varies in width from 300 to 1500 metres, its deepest point reaches 234 metres.

The name "Sary-Chelek" translates to "Yellow Dipper". The area surrounding the lake, within the boundaries of the Reserve is home to over 1000 plant species, 175 bird species, and 34 mammal species including Turkestan Red Pika, Red Fox, Turkestan Lynx, Homalayan Brown Bear, Fray Wolf, Snow Leopard, Indian Crested porcupine, and Wild Boar. These species are featured on the coupons of the Miniature Sheets".
