1123) Beekeeping in Kyrgyzstan: A set of three Stamps issued by the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP): Stamp set issue date: 28.10.2019:

On 28.10.2019, the State Committee of Information Technology and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic will release a series of Kyrgyz Express Post postage stamps titled - "Beekeeping in Kyrgyzstan".

A brief about Bees, with a special reference of Kyrgyzstan:

Bees give people honey, which is a unique food and a therapeutic product. However, the role these wonderful insects play in agricultural production  is no less important. Bees pollinate plants, which increases their yield by 30-50%.

Due to the favourable climate and the wide spectrum of bee-friendly plants, Kyrgyzstan produces high-quality honey in large quantities.

The high altitude pastures, meadows and hayfields, covered with wide range of honey plants, allow Kyrgyzstan to produce one of the best types of honey in the world.

In 2013, at the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress in Kiev, the At-Bashi white mountain honey won the highest award.

Kyrgyzstan has a public association "Kyrgyz Union of Beekeepers" which actively participates in various national and international fairs, exhibitions and promotions. This Union is a member of the prestigious International Organisation of Beekeepers "Apimondia".
