3790) The Volatile Nature Of The Stock Market, Canada: The Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) has released a $10 2-oz Silver Bull & Bear (BU) coin depicting the volatile nature of the Stock Market: Date/Year of Coin issue: 2025:

Canadian Coin Represents The Volatile Nature Of The Stock Market:

Following President Donald Trump’s announcement on February 1, 2025 that he had made an executive order directing the United States to impose 25% tariffs on imports from Canada Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau followed suit and announced that his country would impose 25% tariffs on imports from the U.S.

The shock wave from these moves saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average drop by nearly 700 points.

Such is the volatile nature of the Stock Market, a topsy-turvey, no-holds-barred, survival-of-the-fittest financial world of high finance that’s represented by bulls and bears. Those recent events make this exquisitely designed coin from the Royal Canadian Mint all the more relevant in the current political and economic climate.

The Coin:

The Reverse and Obverse of the $10 (Ten Dollars) Silver Coin

The Reverse of the $210 (Ten Dollars) Silver Coin

- Struck in two troy ounces of highly pure 99.99% silver, this $10 legal-tender coin depicts the bull and the bear of Stock market fame in the foreground while the background shows a graph representing the stock market.

- The origin of these two animals representing the stock market stems from the way in which each animal attacks its opponents. That is, a bull will thrust its horns UP into the air, while a bear will swipe DOWN.

- These actions were then related metaphorically to the movement of a market. If the trend was up, it was considered a “Bull” market. If the trend was down, it was a “Bear” market.

The riveting design is magnificent! Plus, the coin also comes in gleaming Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition with razor sharp designs that are crisp and crystal clear.

One does'nt have to be a Wall Street big wig or work at the New York Stock Exchange to appreciate the design of this coin.

The Obverse of the $10 (Ten Dollars) Coin depicts an effigy of King Charles III facing left. The peripheral inscriptions are - CHARLES III. D.G. REX. 10 DOLLARS".
