The Hellenic Post (ELTA) has released a commemorative series of stamps dedicated to putting an end to bullying at schools.
The initiative is taking place within the context of ELTA’s wider social contribution, under the auspices of the Education Ministry, which also includes sending posters to all primary and secondary schools.
The four stamps which carry the slogan “Stop Bullying”, illustrate the different forms of bullying and highlight the problems of social isolation, cyber-harassment, pain, loneliness, cruelty and marginalization.
ELTA has over a period, brought out a series of stamps that envision love, respect, friendship, noble emulation and gentle rivalry in children’s communities and bring the message into schools, for a better future and for a society without violence and fear.
Only recently a Commemorative Series of Stamps was issued by ELTA titled - "Child and Stamp", dedicated to the scourge of bullying, the Greek Post Office flooded schools all over the country with the resounding message "Stop Bullying".
Organized within the framework of the wider social contribution of ELTA, (under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs), the plan includes the sending of the new stamps to all primary and secondary schools for generating enthusiasm and awareness about this initiative.
The four stamps in the series record visually the different forms of bullying and capture the problems of social isolation, online bullying, anguish, loneliness, cruelty and marginalization. At the same time, however, through these stamps, ELTA unites their voices with children, sending the message of reaction: the power of law and the defence of the weakest.
First Day Envelopes (FDEs) and First Day Covers (FDCs) and Numbered Albums have also been released.
The Stamps:
The four Stamps issued in the set of 2.00, 1.00.0.90 and 0.10 Euros respectively.
The First Day Cover (FDC) is presented in the above representations with two stamps affixed on two envelopes, all four stamps affixed, together-with a Collectible poster.
The special Cancellation Handstamp carries a message "STOP BULLYING". The Cancellation is dated - "27.01.2021".
This poster is titled - "HELLENIC POST COLLECTION".
