HORSE SHOE, A Good Luck Talisman/Charm:

The use of a horseshoe as a symbol of good luck dates back to early times when horses played an integral part in the life of many people. They were originally made of iron, a material that was believed to ward off evil spirits.

This importance is demonstrated by an ancient Turkish proverb: "A nail can save a horseshoe, a horseshoe a horse, a horse can save a horse rider, and a horse rider can save a country.”

Opinion is divided as to which way up the horseshoe ought to be nailed. Some say the ends should point up, so that the horseshoe catches the luck, and that the ends pointing down allow the good luck to leak out; others say they should point down, so that the luck is poured upon those entering the home.

But there is no doubt that this shaped 1 oz silver lucky charm with country style ornaments and Antique finish is the perfect depiction.

The Coin:

The Obverse of the $5 (Five Dollars) Antique Finish Silver Coin depicts the Emblem of the Republic of Palau at the top. 

On the sides the Coin has been holed for nails and has been given a worn-out/stylised look with symbolisms of Desert plants and a desert landscape in patches.

The Reverse of the $5 (Five Dollars) Antique Finish Silver Coin carries the inscription "GOOD LUCK. 2021" on the top and carries the symbolisms from the Obverse on this face, as well.
