2498) 2018 FIFA World Cup, Russia: A 100-Ruble commemorative Banknote issued by the Bank of Russia: Date/Year of Banknote issue: 22.05.2018:
The Bank of Russia issued Russian Ruble banknotes in 10 different denominations, including this multicolour 100 Russian Rubles Banknote, to commemorate the 2018 FIFA World Cup Football held in Russia.
They are part of the current Russian Ruble Banknotes Series.
The Bank of Russia started issuing these 100 Russian Ruble Banknotes on 22.05.2018 and are currently still in circulation.
The Commemorative Banknote:
This multicolour 100 Rubles Russian Banknote was issued to commemorate the 2018 FIFA World Cup Football held in Russia by the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA).
The note is printed on polymer. The top part of the note bears a transparent window that contains a holographic element.
The design of the note is vertically oriented.
On the Front of the 100 Ruble (100 CTO PYBAEN) Banknote is featured Russian goalkeeper Lev Yashin diving for a soccer ball and a standing little boy holding a soccer ball under his arm, watching Lev Yashin's action.
Also seen on this face is the Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation at the top left-hand corner, and a Quick Recognition Code (QR Code), which contains a link to the page of the Bank of Russia website with the description of the Banknote’s Security Features.
On the Back of the 100 Ruble (100 CTO PYBAEN) Banknote is featured a stylised Russian Flag with silhouettes of athletic fans, a stylized Globe on a Soccer Ball with a Russian Federation Map, and the names of Russian cities hosting the playoff games.
Also, on the Back of the Banknote, there are two serial numbers, which consist of two letters indicating the series followed by nine digits. The right number is printed on the short side of the note, the left number on the long one.
The Dimensions/Size of this Banknote is 150 mm x 65 mm, and it does not contain any security threads, however when placed under a UV light, shadow images are visible.
The predominant colours of the Banknote are blue and green.
This Banknote is in circulation since - 22.05.2018.
