The “Switzerland” Silver coin offers a fascinating representation of the country in all its facets. The design is characterised by an eye for detail, with numerous symbols representing Switzerland’s diversity and unity. 

On 12 September 1848, modern Switzerland came into being with the Federal Constitution, as a federal state created by the union of the cantons

This date is highlighted by the issue of this coin, which pays tribute to Switzerland's federal structure. This structure is crucial to Switzerland’s innovative strength, dialogue and national cohesion.

The Special 20 Franc Swiss Silver Coin: 

This special 20 Swiss Francs Silver Coin symbolises Switzerland and all its cantons. 

The Reverse of the 20 Swiss Franc Coin shows flags of the 26 cantons.

The peripheral inscriptions are - "CONFEDRATIO HELVETICA. 2024, 20 FR".

The Obverse of the 20 Swiss Franc Silver Coin depicts mountains evoking the Swiss Alps, a railway in reference to the dense rail network, the Edelweiss being an emblematic Alpine flower, a quartz crystal echoing the mineral wealth of the Alps, and a bridge symbolising technical infrastructure

Cogwheels refer to watchmaking, and a cheese symbolises the famous Swiss cheese-making tradition
