1652) The Jewelled Horse: A Gold and Argyle Pink Diamonds Coin minted by the Perth Mint, Australia, in a limited edition of eight Coins only: Year of Coin issue: 2021:

The Jewelled Horse is The Perth Mint Australia’s most prestigious release of the year. In common with similarly magnificent and rare pieces celebrating animals significant in Chinese culture (2018 Phoenix, 2019 Dragon and 2020 Tiger), the new coin combines the incontestable beauty of pure gold and Argyle pink diamonds in the numismatic embodiment of equine vitality, power and nobility.

The Coin has been crafted from 10oz of 99.99% pure gold in proof quality.

The  Reverse of the 2000 AUD Coin's artistry portrays a branch of Jasmine flowers and undulating countryside with nearby hills topped by pagodas.

The design is derived from a pictogram of a standing horse with a flowing mane, it also incorporates the inscription "JEWELLED HORSE" and bears The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

The Obverse of the $2000 AUD Coin bears the Jody Clark effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination and the 2021 year-date.

The Coin has been issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The Jewelled Horse:

The coin’s pièce de résistance is a dazzling 18-carat rose gold representation of a rearing horse, pavé-set with 169 specially selected Fancy Intense, Vivid Pink and Purplish Pink Argyle diamonds weighing 2.76 carats. Two golden coloured diamonds from the Argyle Diamond Mine represent the horse’s eyes.

Interest in these rare gems has soared to new heights since the famous mine in Western Australia closed its operations in November 2020.

Limited Edition of Eight:

Befitting the enormous skill, patience and time required to craft a numismatic masterpiece of this magnitude, just eight of these stunning objets d'art will be released.

Luxury Presentation:

Accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, each coin is presented in a luxury, cabinet-style case featuring double-doors embellished with pink gold motifs and two additional Argyle pink diamonds.

Inside, the illuminated coin continuously rotates through 360 degrees with mesmerising style and sophistication.

The Specifications of this Exquisite Coin are:
