About Best Mural in the World 2021 - Mural:

The largest urban art platform in the world, Street Art Cities, awarded the iconic mural of Julio César, created in the Ronda da Muralla by the artist from Lugo, Diego Anido, (better known as Diego As), the prize for the best mural in the world in the entire world for the year 2021.

The work recalls the city's Roman past and was created during Arde Lucus 2021 and the Urban Cores fashion festival

The mural is part of Núcleos Urbanos, a project that seeks to beautify other buildings and public spaces in the city with art.

Street Art Cities is an application through which it is possible to know the location of more than 15,000 works in more than ninety countries, visualising them through the map.

In addition, it provides information about the author, relating his works, and, in some cases, specific information about the work such as the reason for its creation, its meaning, etc.

Julio César's mural:

Julio César's mural won first prize after receiving more than 60,000 votes from the public from different countries, being the most valued among a hundred works from around the world, including 16 Spanish.

The imposing work of Julio César, which is done in a gray scale, has become a symbol of the city, a new attraction and a must-see for tourists.

The black and white portrait of the Roman emperor is located on a twenty-meter-high wall, facing the Wall.
