3232) ETNO (Museu Valencià d'Etnologia)  Gallery of the Royal Collections, Madrid, Spain: Espana Correos  (Spanish Post) has issued a postage stamp of 1.70 Euro in its Museums Stamps Series: Date of Stamps issue:27.03.2024:

ETNO (Museu Valencià d'Etnologia) is an anthropology museum created in 1982 to collect, study and disseminate everything related to popular and traditional Valencian culture. The museum maintains its headquarters in the city of Valencia, in the Centre Cultural la Beneficència. 

L'ETNO's collections are made up of objects, testimonies and audiovisual material related to Valencian popular culture.

The museum's mission is to propose universal reflections based on the cultural features of Valencian society. 

L'ETNO works from a social museum vocation. That is, it uses its collections to provide knowledge and welfare to society from the following actions: making memory, recovering and confronting it with forgotten stories, promoting reflection and knowledge of skills, practices and ways of doing traditional society that can be valuable for our contemporaneity, welcoming and offering dialogue, entertainment and knowledge to everyone, regardless of their origin, training and physical condition. 

The Stamp:

The First Day Cover (FDC) shows the building of the museum at left. The postage stamp of 1.70 Euro issued is affixed at top right.

The cancellation is of Madrid Post Office and the date of cancellation is - "27.03.2024".
