One more year Correos issues 3 new stamps dedicated to different Museums in Spain, in this 2024 they are: -
Oxo Museo Videojuego in Málaga;
L'Etno (Museu Valencià d'etnologia) in València and
the Galería de Colecciones Reales in Madrid.
OXO Video Game Museum is a unique space in Spain that focuses on the history, vanguard and conservation of video games and their historical, technological and cultural legacy.
The Museum received the name
of OXO after Alexander S. Douglas, a student of the University of
Cambridge that in 1952 created a tic-tac-toe, one of the first known video
games in history.
OXO has its own building
with four floors and more than 1,800 m2 in Plaza del Siglo, 2, in Malaga, a
space designed to house the past, present and future of the sector.
In the quest to become a
national and international benchmark, OXO highlights the culture and industry
of video games in a journey that proposes a historical, educational,
recreational and experiential journey through the world of video games.
