"Pattam Katha" is a well-known term in Thailand refering to the sacred stories of the Ramayana, known as the Ramakien in Thailand.
A Pattam Katha is a storytelling tradition similar to the Hindu "Katha" that recounts stories and myths, often from sacred religious texts like the Ramayana.
In Thailand, these stories are brought to life through
traditions like Khon, a masked dance drama, or through sacred mantras known as
katha or pra kata, which are chanted prayers or sacred Pali words.
