 About Deadpool:

Deadpool, also known as Wade Wilson, is a disfigured Canadian mercenary and antihero in Marvel Comics, famous for his regenerative healing, combat skills, and breaking the fourth wall.

Origin and Creation:

Deadpool first appeared in The New Mutants #98 in December 1990, created by artist Rob Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza.

Originally introduced as a supervillain, he evolved into an antihero over time.

His real name, Wade Wilson, is a nod to DC Comics’ villain Deathstroke (Slade Wilson), and the character was inspired by Spider-Man’s humour and Wolverine’s combat style

Powers and Abilities:

Deadpool possesses a superhuman regenerative healing factor, granted by an experimental procedure that cured his cancer but left him severely scarred and mentally unstable

He is a master assassin, expert swordsman, and marksman, fluent in multiple languages. Uniquely, Deadpool is aware he is a fictional character, often breaking the fourth wall for comedic effect.

Personality and Traits:

Known as the "Merc with a Mouth", Deadpool is irreverent, sarcastic, and unpredictable.

His mental instability and fragmented memory contribute to his chaotic behavior, making him morally ambiguous but often leaning toward antiheroic actions

He frequently interacts with side characters like Blind Al and Weasel, and has complex relationships with allies and enemies alike

He's always been his own biggest fan.

Marvel’s Deadpool loves exactly one person, and it's him.

This 1 oz collectible, struck in 99.99% pure silver and released by Agoro, puts "I Heart Me" front and center. Raised, colour-printed, unapologetic.

Wade Wilson has never pretended to be humble. This collectible doesn't either. Deadpool, mid-monologue, points to himself like it's the only reasonable conclusion. Because to him, it is.

Comic History:

Deadpool received his first solo miniseries, The Circle Chase, in 1993, and his first ongoing series in 1997, written by Joe Kelly with art by Ed McGuinness

He has starred in numerous series, including "Cable & Deadpool (2004–2008)", often paired with his former enemy Cable. Over time, Deadpool became a parody of traditional superhero comics, blending action and comedy.

Cultural Impact

Deadpool’s popularity extends beyond comics into films, video games, and merchandise.

Ryan Reynolds portrayed him in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Deadpool (2016), Deadpool 2 (2018), and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), cementing his status as a fan-favorite antihero.

Deadpool remains one of Marvel’s most distinctive characters, celebrated for his humor, unpredictability, and unique ability to engage directly with the audience while delivering high-stakes action.

This Coin minted by the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM):

- Released by Agoro and minted in Canada by the Royal Canadian Mint, this 1 oz collectible celebrates one of Marvel's most iconic Canadian antiheroes, fresh from his record-breaking return in Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine.

- Packaging:

The collectible arrives in a custom-printed tray-and-lid box, finished in Deadpool red with a numbered hologram unique to each piece.

Inside the lid, fans will find a cheeky nod to the character's personality; the recess presents the collectible itself, set against a black felt tray.

The two silver rounds, each containing one ounce of 99.99% pure silver, feature colorful individual portraits.

Deadpool points toward himself in a characteristic pose, while Wolverine appears with his claws extended.

The Maple Leaf in the background denotes:
