The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international men's soccer championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA.
The FIFA Cup - 2026.
The tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
It will be jointly hosted by sixteen cities—eleven in the United States, three in Mexico, and two in Canada.
The tournament will be the first FIFA World Cup to be hosted by three nations, and the first to include 48 teams, an expansion from 32 previously.
The Mascots - They are each an anthropomorphic moose, jaguar and bald eagle who were announced on September 25, 2025.

Description of the Mascots:
Maple is an anthropomorphic Canadian moose, appears in red and represents creativity and resilience. He is a goalkeeper and draws inspiration from the maple leaf, Canada's national symbol.
Zayu [ˈsa.ju] is an anthropomorphic Mexican jaguar, wears the traditional green and acts as a forward.
Inspired by the importance of the animal to ancient civilizations of Mexico, it symbolises strength, agility, and cultural pride.
Clutch, an anthropomorphic American bald eagle, wears the blue uniform of the American team and symbolises courage, leadership, and unity, acting as a midfielder; his name references the concept of clutch, the ability to excel under pressure.
Appearance in media during the Games:
Maple, Zayu and Clutch will be featured as playable characters in the upcoming FIFA Heroes video game with each mascot having its own special ability.
Players will be able to field the mascots alongside international football players from the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

2026 FIFA World Cup™, hosted by Mexico, the United
States, and Canada.
The Mexican Mint (Casa de Moneda de México) has issued a total of 12 commemorative coins for the FIFA World Cup 2026, including bimetallic 20-peso coins, gold coins, and silver coins.
These coins celebrate Mexico’s role as a co-host and highlight the host cities—Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey—as well as Mexico’s cultural and natural heritage.
Common Obverse on all the Coins
The National Coat of Arms sculpted in relief, with the
inscription "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" (MEXICO), forms the upper
semicircle. The coin’s periphery is smooth.
Mexico City host city:
An axolotl is depicted at the centre of the coin, and
above it, the "Templo Mayor" (Great Temple of Tenochtitlan), the
Metropolitan Cathedral, the Monument to the Revolution, and the Palace of Fine
Arts, set along a double line with the word "MÉXICO" (MEXICO) at the
center. The denomination, the Mexican Mint mark "M°", and a soccer
ball appear in the exergue.
The logo "FIFA 26 CIUDAD DE MÉXICOTM"
(FIFA 26 MEXICO CITYTM) appears to the right, and the graphic identity defined
by the FIFA to represent Mexico City, to the left. The inscription "COPA
MUNDIAL DE LA FIFA 2026TM" (2026 FIFA WORLD CUPTM) appears on the upper periphery and a band with circles on the lower periphery.
An agave farmer, a soccer ball, and, in the background,
the Arches of Zapopan appear at the center of the coin. The inscription
"COPA MUNDIAL DE LA FIFA 2026TM" (2026 FIFA WORLD CUPTM) appears on
the upper periphery.
The word "MÉXICO" appears in the exergue. The graphic
identity defined by the FIFA to represent the city of Guadalajara appears to
the right. The logo "FIFA 26 GUADALAJARATM", the denomination, and
the Mexican Mint mark "M°" are included.
A soccer player and, in the background, the "Fuente
el Crisol" (Crucible Fountain), one of the most iconic landmarks of the
"Paseo Santa Lucía" (Saint Lucy Riverwalk), and the "Cerro de la
Silla" (Saddle Hill) appear at the center of the coin. The inscription
"COPA MUNDIAL DE LA FIFA 2026TM" (2026 FIFA WORLD CUPTM) appears on
the upper rim. The graphic identity defined by the FIFA to represent the city
of Monterrey appears to the left and the text "PASEO SANTA LUCÍA"
(SAINT LUCY RIVERWALK), to the right. The logo "FIFA 26 MONTERREYTM",
the denomination, the word "MEXICO" and the Mexican Mint mark
"M°" are included.
On the right, the pyramid of Kukulkan at Chichen Itza and
a monarch butterfly are depicted. In the background, a soccer ball with the
silhouette of Mexico’s map appear in the center, accompanied by butterflies and
the FIFA 2026TM logo. On the left, the Mexican Mint mark "M°" can be
seen.
On the upper rim, the inscription FIFA WORLD CUP 2026TM and a semicircle
resembling a punched paper artwork (papel picado) pattern are illustrated. On
the lower right side, the head of a jaguar can be seen with a plant element
and, on the left side, the "Calavera Garbancera" by Mexican
printmaker José Guadalupe Posada. The denomination appears in the exergue.
The Gold Coin Variant:
At the center, slightly offset to the right, a soccer ball and a jaguar are depicted; to the left, Mexican marigold flowers, poinsettias, and monarch butterflies and, above them, the FIFA 2026TM logo. On the upper rim, to the right, the inscription reads "COPA MUNDIAL DE LA FIFA 2026TM" (FIFA WORLD CUP 2026TM). The denomination appears in the exergue and, to the right, the Mexican Mint mark "M°" is visible.
