tribes continues with the 2021 Caddo Tribe Set.
The Caddo nation is a
confederacy of several Southeastern Native American tribes.
Their ancestors
historically inhabited much of what is now East Texas, Louisiana, and portions
of southern Arkansas and Oklahoma. Semi-sedentary agriculturists, they also
hunted buffalo and are regarded as among the most advanced Native American
cultures in Texas and the Southwest.
Legal-Tender Native American Coins:
Long before America was a nation of states, it was a
nation of tribes. To honour these tribes, the Torrance, California-based Native
American Mint struck a series of Indian Sovereign Nations coins that are

Government as legal tender in each tribal nation as set forth in the
Constitution of the United States and from the terms of bilateral treaties that
date back to the 18th century.
