The Baby Dingo Coin:

Dingos are wild dogs that have lived in Australia for thousands of years. Beautifully coloured, the dingo artistry on this coin captures the puppy’s vulnerability to perfection.

Like all young marsupials, a baby Dingo is known as a joey – a shy and defenceless version of its adult protectors. Beautifully realised, the artistry on this coin captures the creature’s vulnerability to perfection.

The Reverse of the 50 Cents (AUD) Silver Coin.

The coin depicts a cute baby Dingo asleep in a fleece-lined twig basket – a prop that has created a popular trend in newborn photography among parents all around the world. The design also incorporates colourful Australian native flowers and wildlife.

The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also appears on this face at centre left.

Inscriptions on the bottom periphery are - "1/2 OZ 9999 Silver".

The Obverse of the 50 Cents (AUD) Silver Coin.
