The "Bad Batch" is an American animated series created for the streaming service Disney+. It is a squad of elite clone troopers with genetic mutations.
It is part of the Star Wars franchise, acting as both a sequel to, and spin-off from, the series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars".
Produced by Lucasfilm Animation, the first season of "Star Wars: The Bad Batch" premiered on 04.05.2021, and ran for 16 episodes until August 13.08.2021. A second season is set to premiere in late 2022.
"Clone Force 99", (also known as the "Bad Batch") is a group of elite clone troopers with genetic mutations that were first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, who take on daring mercenary missions in the aftermath of the Clone Wars.
The squad consists of Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, and Echo. The squad has more unique than other clones, with each having special abilities. Omega is a young female clone working as a medical assistant on Kamino. She is an unmodified replication of Jango Fett, but is genetically deviant from standard clone templates and therefore feels a kind of kinship with the Bad Batch.
The Coin:
Clone Force 99™, also known as "The Bad Batch™" are an elite squad of clone commandos, with their own unique abilities. The first soldier to appear in the "Star Wars: The Bad Batch™" limited-edition coin series is the group’s leader - "Hunter™".
The Reverse of the $2 (Two Dollars - NZD) Silver Coin showcases selective colourisation of the incredible fighter in his armour, holding his weapon of choice — the Vibroblade™. This colourisation beautifully contrasts against the mirror background.
The coin also features detailed engravings to enhance the design. The engravings of his helmet and the phrases - "The Bad Batch" and "The Clone Force 99" round off the coin’s design.
The Obverse of the $2 (Two Dollars - NZD) Silver Coin bears an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right.
The peripheral inscriptions are - "ELIZABETH II. NIUE. TWO DOLLARS. 2022".
