Following a period of intensive creativity, the Austrian Mint engravers have come up with the celestial images that feature on the 12 coins in our new series. With a strictly limited mintage and in the highest possible minting quality, the coins both make for perfect gifts and unique additions to your coin collection.
The Zodiac Signs of Western Astrology:
The Western Astrological signs of the Zodiac go back to the Babylonian tradition of some 3,000 years ago, which identified patterns in the sky to determine the periods for sowing and harvesting crops.
In ancient Greece, the area of the sky that the sun appears to "pass through" when seen from earth was divided into 12 sections that corresponded to the months of the year. In Europe, the view prevailed that these 12 sections represented certain constellations that formed the basis of the western signs of the zodiac.
Up until the seventeenth century, there was no question that astrology was science. Astronomers such as Johannes Kepler and Galileo Galilei collected data on the position of the stars and planets and made predictions based on this. Whether as talismans or part of a family collection of zodiac signs, the coins in this series are designed to be lucky tokens for you and your loved ones.

Each Coin Comes with a Special Gemstone:
Each zodiac sign has a gemstone that supports and balances its qualities. Capricorn finds harmony in rose quartz, while Taurus gains inner peace from amber.
Leo is strengthened by rock crystal, and Sagittarius finds clarity and intuition in sodalite.
Pisces benefit from the protective bloodstone or haematite, and Cancer is supported by the calming amazonite.
For Scorpio, fiery carnelian is a stone of passion, while Aries finds warmth of heart in rhodochrosite. Gemini thrive with citrine, which brings creativity and joy.
Aquarius and Libra are accompanied by chalcedony and aventurine, which foster serenity and harmony. Finally, Virgo gains inner calm with amethyst.
These stones are often cherished as personal companions, believed to enhance the energies of the zodiac signs.
Sagittarius and sodalite harmonise ideally with each other and promote clear thinking and self-confidence.
The Fourth Coin in the Series is the Sagittarius Sign:
The fourth coin in the unique "In the Stars Coin Series" combines the zodiac sign Sagittarius and the Sodalite crystal, which work together to help create harmony both with yourself and others.
Coin Design: A coin to feel good:
The constellation coin with the lucky stone: a lovingly selected talisman for all those born under the sign of Sagittarius.
The Zodiac Sign:
Sagittarius belongs to the element of fire and is ruled by the planet Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system.
Deeply rooted in mythology is the connection between Sagittarius and the Greek centaur named Chiron, half man, half horse.
He stood for wisdom, the art of healing and self-control.
He himself had an incurable wound that made him a model for dealing with grief and pain. He knew how to grow from his suffering.
In body astrology, the constellation finds its counterpart in the hips and thighs, the parts of the body that cause mobility and dynamism.
In the system of astrological personality psychology, Sagittarius are considered freedom-loving, optimistic, and adventurous. Their thirst for knowledge is immense. They strive for truth at all costs.
The Stone - Sodalite:
Sodalite is a comparatively "soft" mineral that is characterised by its rarity.
In esotericism, it is believed to be capable of many things, first and foremost to strengthen the effect, self-confidence and promote clarity of thought.
The Coin:
The Reverse of 20 Euro Silver Proof Coin presents a young shooter who is just drawing his bow. It is framed by a circle that dissolves into many stars towards the edge of the coin.
At the centre of the coin’s reverse on all sides and merging with the portrait’s border, which is formed of stars.
With this lucky charm coin, the fourth of twelve, you let the recipient feel: Your future is not only in the stars - I support you, I am at your side!
The symbol of the shooter has moved to the centre; in its place at the edge of the circle and as its companion, as it were, shimmers a dark blue sodalite. It is round and smooth. A starry sky forms the background.
The symbol for Sagittarius adorns the centre in large letters.
