3880) “Street Art in Belgium”, Belgium: A 2.5 Euro, Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) Coin in Coincard Netherlands (NL) highlights Street Art: Date/Year of Coin issue: 2025:
This Coin celebrates Streetart in Belgium, designed by street artist Bue the Warrior:
Detailed description and specifications:
Although the countless artists themselves are rarely known, in Belgium one come into contact with their creative expressions that brighten up the street scene almost daily.
Unlike graffiti, Street Art often has a clearer message and a wall-sized image, often commissioned. The quality is high and the artist wants to attract attention and provoke something with the work in the public space.
Many Belgian cities are literally putting Street Art on the map these days and more and more tours, festivals and apps are being devised to guide residents and tourists past all the art in public spaces.
Now, in collaboration with five renowned Belgian street artists, an NFT* collection has been created and added to the coin issue in coincard.
The collection consists of 2 x 5,000 special Belgian 2 ½ euro coins in coincard.
The five street artists reflect well the various art styles adorning the walls of Belgian cities. Normally wall-sized, now available in a smaller format and in motion!
There are five different NFTs in as many degrees of rarity. They are exclusive, never-before-seen works by: Bue the Warrior, LS, LobsterRobin, Resto and Toys.
A special art form deserves a special bonus!
The Coins:
The phenomenon of Street Art in Belgium prompted the Royal Mint of Belgium to issue a 2½ Euro coin in collaboration with one of Belgium's best-known street artists, Bue the Warrior.
The Obverse of the Coin shows a happy little bird that, like the text ‘Streetart’, was just created with the spray can BE left.
The little bird appears more often in the works of Bue the Warrior and is thus Bue's signature, with his name added at the bottom right.
Both the coin design and the packaging and accompanying NFT are by his hand!
This 2½ Euro is minted in BU quality and appears in a coincard with two language versions.
As Street Art in Belgium has very diverse manifestations, more works by renowned Belgian street artists have been added to the coincard as a free NFT*! Quickly discover which exclusive work by one of the five Belgian street artists accompanies your coin as an original digital bonus!
