The 2025 stamp booklet highlights children’s creativity and creative zest.
The stamp issue is the result of creative cooperation between Åland Post Stamps and the School of Art & Design in Mariehamn. Art school students aged 6 – 16 were asked to freely create drawings, and the selected stamp motifs show an imaginative and colourful interpretation of Åland.
The 2025 stamp booklet highlights children’s creativity and creative zest.
Founded in 1985, the School of Art & Design in Mariehamn celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2025. The school offers art and design courses for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 19.
The Eight stamps released in the issue.The term Inrikes on the stamp indicates a specific value when used as postage for a letter or card.
The value of Inrikes corresponds to the current postage for a postal item weighing up to 50 grams and sent to Finland.
The FIRST DAY COVER (FDC), Children’s Åland
The First Day Cover (FDC) featuring a cow in a flowering meadow was created by one of the students at the School of Art & Design in Mariehamn.
The Maxim Card (Front and Back)
- Another of the art school students has illustrated the first day cancel as a flower.
- For the booklet issue, we also offer a maximum card which was created by one of the students at the School of Art & Design in Mariehamn.
- Another of the art school students has illustrated the special cancellation showing a Lily of the Valley.

The franking symbol on the address side of
the maximum card means that postage is included in the price of the card which
can be posted from Åland to any destination in the world.
