Shows the Royal Coat of arms and is struck in nickel brass. Measures 22.50 mm in diameter and weighs 9.50 grams.

Twenty Pence:

A new denomination issued in 1982 this cupro-nickel coin features the Badge of England, a royally crowned double rose. Measures 21.40 mm and weighs 5.00 grams.

Five Pence:

Depicts the Badge of Scotland, which is a thistle royally crowned. Struck in cupro-nickel, measures 23.59 mm and weighs 5 65 grams.

One Penny:

Shows a portcullis with chains royally crowned, which is an adaptation of a badge of Henry VII. Struck in bronze, measures 20.32 mm and weighs 3.56 grams.

Fifty Pence:

The first Coin of any country to have this seven-sided shape. The design shows a seated figure of Britannia, orginally a symbol of Roman Britain for over 300 years. Struck in cupro-nickel, measures 30.00 mm and weighs 13,50 grams.

Ten Pence:

Shows the partial Crest of England a lion passant, guardant, royally crowned. Struck in cupro-nickel and measures 28.50 mm and weighs 11.31 grams.

Two Pence:

Features the Badge of the Prince of Wales with the motto "Ich Dien" ("I Serve"). Struck in bronze and measures 25.91 mm and weighs 7.12 grams.

Half Penny:

Shows the Royal Crown. Measures 17.14 mm and weighs 1.78 grams and is struck in bronze.

One Pound:

The One Pound Coin was designed by Eric Sewell. The 20 Pence Coin was designed by William Gardner and the 50, 10, 5, 2, 1 and 1/2 coins were designed by Christopher Ironside.

The Obverse:

The Obverse is common to all the coins and features the numismatic effigy of the Queen facing right, designed by Arnold Machin.
